Rana Hasan is the Director, Centre for Economic Growth at NCAER. He is also a Senior Affiliate Scholar at Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Prior to this, Rana served as Regional Lead Economist for South Asia at the Asian Development Bank. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland. His research on labour markets, productivity, and industrial and urban development has informed policy makers and experts on policies issues related to structural transformation in the region. At FED, his expertise in development economics and policy analysis helps guide the organization’s initiatives to create lasting impact.
